Work with a partner and role-play a conference in which a teacher and a director set up a work plan for the next six months. If you are assuming the role as teacher, try to use your own classroom skills and areas in which you need improvement as a basis for the objectives in your work plan. If you are playing the director, use your communication skills to find out what help this teacher seems to need and where his strengths lie. After the role-play, ask your classmates for a brief evaluation of the conference. Then have two other students repeat the role-play. Is the second role-play different from the one formulated in the first role-play? Identify strategies that should be used for effective goal setting.
