A well-written business case flows logically from presenting a problem or opportunity through the advantages and disadvantages of solutions to describing the recommended solution. An important factor in determining whether a business case becomes a project is feasibility analysis.  Some issues arise when applying standard methods in feasibility analysis to IT projects.  Engage in research and provide details about one issue that might arise when applying standard methods in feasibility analysis to IT projects.  Be specific as to the reasons why this is an issue and provide one solution that might be used to overcome the issue described.

• Flesh out your thoughts and interact with your classmates.  Try to post your initial response by Wednesday each week and then return on a couple of other days to see what’s going on with the discussions.  The more you interact, the more you learn from your peers, and the more you share with them about what you know.  You’ll also be showing your instructor what you’ve picked up.

It is important to remember that some standard feasibility techniques don’t work well with IT projects.  This is the area you should try to focus your answer on. What aspects of IT projects don’t lend themselves easily to these techniques.
