Part 1 (2 pages)

Each student in a group is to pick 2 questions & respond as if they were the nurse practitioner. Responses should have a detailed pathophysiological component.

The nurse practitioner is examining a 25 year old woman who has no current complaints.  In reviewing her family history the NP notices her sister and mother have Hashimoto’s disease.  Based on this discuss the following:

1. Is this patient at risk for the development of Hashimoto’s?  Discuss why or why not.
2. What are the signs & symptoms of Hashimoto’s & what would a thyroid profile reveal in a person with Hashimoto?

Part 2 (1 pag)

The assignment is to response (meaningful) to other two classmates postings (1/2 page each one). I will attache classmates’ postings and examples.
