 Explanation: The Holocaust was caused not only by Hitler, but also made by Germany. Hitler’s rise to power and to political extremism cannot be explained without considering his support among the German people. In one sense, his election has become the common aspiration of people and the general trend of development to political stability and economic recession. These explain why German people became obsessed with Hitler’s strong leadership.
